November savings, coupons and the likes.

Not a big month but we save $8.15 with coupons. So we splurged a little with the Thanksgiving holidays.

I know for a fact that we saved at Sams Club buying diapers, dish soap , Power-aid, and bannans by the bulk.

We also partook in Christmas shopping online this year and have save about $85.00 just by shopping at Amazon. I couldn't believe it at first but with Wal Mart, Target, and a Amazon website open and price comparing just about every kids toys was $5.00 cheaper.

It added up very quick purchasing several kids toys and video games.

October coupon saving and rebates

October coupon saving included a total of $21.79 Now it doesn't seem like much for a whole month but every little bit counts.

We where also in the market to purchase a new truck for work. I wanted a new vehicle this time and decided to wait for the year end incentives. Just by asking we saved $3000 on the truck I purchased taken off the MSRP. Then while shopping they also enticed me through the front door with an additional $6000 in rebates. Not doing so well with coupon but another $9000 in saving this month was wonderful.

September coupon savings and more.

Coupons are the worlds answer to not having to pay taxes at the grocery store. Keeping it simple and only using internet printable coupons and coupons from the Coupon Saving Center we saved $30.32. I haven't had time to update my blog as of late but being busy with work, my wife has just kept her total coupon savings from shopping.

You have to spend money to save money, right? Third quarter total coupon saving of $81.09

Saving money in August while using coupons to shop

We saved $22.17 while shopping in the month of August this year using coupons from the Sunday newspapers and internet printable coupons.

Not great savings but we have noticed with the kids out of school and being on a couple vacations that we where less likely to use coupon's to shop with coupons while away from the home front.

Saving money in July

On the fabulous month of July we saved $28.07 while shopping with coupons. Every little bit counts while looking at the big picture and saving money. A general rule of thumb for our totals and saving money is usually saving the cost of the taxes on regular grocery and household items.
Not big saving like the coupon Diva's and Kin's of the TLC cable show but the women and men shopping with coupons usually have great ideas to save more money and find more coupons.

Coupon Binder Sleeves - Currency is the favorite style amongst extreme coupon shoppers.

So you have elevated you coupon supply and switch from a small purse coupon organizer to the 3 ring binder coupon organizing system. What size coupon binder sleeve pockets work best for organizing your coupons?

Most coupon shoppers use the currency type binder sleeves. Why?
If you have ever printed a single internet printable coupon you have a vague idea of there size. Very Large in comparison to the local Sunday newspaper coupons. Remember they work just as well when saving money!

 20 Coupon Binder Sleeves $10.00
With that in mind I found twenty pages of the currency binder sleeves for $10 on Amazon while shopping for additional items for the wife to make her coupon days a little easier and wanted to pass the saving on to my fellow coupon shoppers.

June Coupon Shopping wasn't so hot but looking at the evidence it wasn't to bad

When the actual numbers came in from coupon shopping with a total saving of $25.24 I asked my wife what happened this month? Her reply was simple! She only went shopping twice this month compared to the regular weekly shopping trips totaling four. Evidently the cabinets where fuller this month and making coupon shopping worth while. Saving basically two weeks of groceries and house hold supplies is a great deal. Guess you could say about $200 was saved on top of our total coupon saving but for the reason of this blog I want keep it in with our monthly totals.

The second quarter (April, May & June) we saved  a grand total of $144.32 by using our coupons. One family proving that clipping coupons does help. On a average I would say we save 8% to 15% when purchasing items.

Saving money in the month of May with coupons

The month of may wasn't all that hot with coupon savings or so I thought. My wife took the time to email our coupon saving totals. We saved an astonishing $41.57 while using coupons from the Coupon Saving Center and from the coupons she clipped in the local Sunday newspaper.

While not the extreme coupon shopper just yet, we are making saving money with coupons a family habit and life style. Small a yet subtle changes have taken place by using internet printable coupon and clipping them out of the news paper. You always hear that slow and steady wins the race.

More Hilarious Coupon Comics made for T-shirts

I just recently went through Zazzle and put together a lens on nothing but Funny Coupon T-shirts. Some made for the extreme coupon shoppers. April's Coupon saving totals!

We continue to save each month with coupons. Even though work has increased my wife still saved all of her receipts from coupon shopping. April we saved $77.51 , or what has been equivalent to one weeks groceries free shopping with coupons from the coupon saving center and coupons from the local Sunday news papers.

I works and saves money.

Back to work, but the wife is still shopping with coupons

The work season picked up and recently I went back to work. My wife has kept her receipts from her shopping adventures and a detailed money savings from shopping with coupons.

She saved $9.00 from using the internet printed coupons from the Coupon Saving Center on 4-2-11.
And on  her next grocery shopping trip she save $19.88 on 4-11-11.

We have been keeping track of are savings from using coupons since the begging of this year and will continue to share with are readers and family members.

It's not the total free shopping trips you have seen on TLC Extreme Coupon Shoppers but we have noticed a difference in are family life style with coupon shopping. Are main goal is to purchase everything with a coupon and not pay full retail. If we can't use a coupon to save money the items we purchase are on sale in the store.

A great way to get organized for coupon shopping details listed at :Journal With Coupons, Learning to Save Money with Coupon Shopping. We have included affordable coupon organizers to get the beginning coupon shoppers started on their way to saving money. Small coupon organizers to fit in a ladies purse for on the go situations.

March wasn't the best month shopping with coupons but, we still saved.

March wasn't the best month in savings but we still saved money while shopping with coupons. The kids have even become more aware of the saving and ask dear old MOM from time to time if she has coupons clipped for what they want to purchase. Now being teenagers they like the candy, snacks, soda, Gatorade/Power Aid and video game coupons to save money. They will even go as far to ask my wife to check before they run to the store.

This month the household shopping we saved $45.49 this month.
So are first quarter of the year and the first three months of coupon shopping we saved a whopping $177.66

Coupon Shopping is fun.

We went shopping just for items we needed and it was the first time that we ever had a coupon for every item. Are shopping trip was sparked just because of the coupon we clipped from the Coupon Saving Center were about to expire. We purchased 7 items at Walmart in total and saved a whole $9.50 on these items.

Then we went to are local Rite Aid and purchased some Easter candy for the kids with the Rite rewards card that we signed up for and saved $2.38 plus we received a coupon on are receipt for an additional %10 on are next shopping trip to Rite Aid. So all in all we saved $11.88 with coupon shopping and rewards card use.

Coupon shopping on the 23rd of March

No real big saving today at Wal Mart but, a little saving is better then no saving at all.

Total coupon savings = $3.69

Now we're not looking to get rich but last month all of the little bit here and there added up to over $60 in saving using simple printable coupon and watching local ads in the newspaper.

Saving money with coupons once again.

If you would glance back at the month of February you may recollect that we received an in store coupon from Walgreen's for $3.00. Well the wife also got an additional  $3.00 coupon a second time from Walgreen's and another one while shopping at CVS while using are CVS coupon card rewards card.

We went shopping on the 20th to get soda and save $9.00 from are rewards at Walgreens' and CVS plus while grabbing a few select items at Wal Mart we saved $2.40 with coupons from the Coupon Saving Center here with Journal With Coupons.

This week savings totaled $11.40

Coupon Shopping Savings

Are first trip of the third month saved us $18.82 with simple coupon shopping at are local grocery store. As time goes on and we learn how to coupon shop we have started to restrict ourselves and try to purchase only coupon items.

When coupon shopping though it will save you money it is not always the best deal. Many item are lower priced and usually the store will give you a per ounce price when they are listed on the shelves.

Coupon Saver Coupons and Additional Saving for the Month of February

Doesn’t seem like much till you tally your totals coupons savings and actually see it put to writing in a black & white. We saved an outstanding total $68.47 this month.

Coupon Shopping Savings 3rd and 4th Trip in February

Last week I didn’t post are coupon savings so here they are. We saved $8.67 last week shopping on the 20th. Walgreens we bought three 12 packs of Mountain Dew and received a coupon for $3.00 on are next shopping trip at Walgreens.
Last day of the month we saved $19.59 in coupons. Also we saved an additional $5.22 in store roller back saving from Walmart. This by far, was the best day of coupon shopping thus far for us. Coupon shopping has become addictive and we are almost to the point if we don’t have a coupon we won’t by that item. Then on top of all this we received a $20.00 gift certificate for helping run errands for the mother-in-law after her back surgery. Today was a grand total of $44.81 in saving for using coupons and getting rewarded for good deeds.

Second Month and Second Trip of Shopping with Coupons

Not saving millions of dollars but shopping with coupons is making are pantry noticeably fuller. When we shop it seems to be further in between shopping trips now.

We saved $8.28 today with coupon shopping at the local grocery store. My wife just happened to check the coupon saving center before we walked out the door to shop for groceries and noticed that a few of the coupons changed from the first of the month. Evidently it worthwhile to check for updates in the coupon saving center because we saved an additional dollar today on one coupon for a dollar off on Maxwell coffee.

First Coupon Shopping Trip Savings In the Second Month Of Are Journal With Coupons

Today’s coupon shopping trip with using only the Journal With Coupons produced a saving of $6.71. We printed directly from the Coupon Saving Center.
Walmart has great deals on great value or equate items that sometimes beat using a coupon. I was going to purchase Head & Shoulders shampoo but discovered that if I used my dollar off coupon that I would still be paying $.50 more for the name brand item.

First Month We Saved $63.40 Using Coupons And Watching Prices While Shopping

Can you believe that using coupons while shopping saved us $63.40! Granted it took a little more than coupons alone to save us that much. Conducting price comparisons from store to store or even buying gas in a larger city just because you are there can save you money.

Products labeled Great Value aren’t always the best deal either. Let’s face it you can’t always replace your favorite Oreo cookies but you can use a coupon to save a little with simple coupon shopping.

Saving Money On Gas

Not so much a way to save money with coupons but still a great savings idea. We live in a smaller community so the supply and demand of gas dictates the prices at our local gas stations. We had a trip out of town to visit a doctor that practices in larger community. Now we are fully aware of the gas prices being less so we chose to take the wife’s car because it was lower on fuel. We purchased 16 gallons of fuel which was $.10 a gallon cheaper saving us $1.60.
Now I wouldn’t recommend traveling 40 miles out of your way to save money on fuel. You have to use your own judgment of whether the cost saving justifies the trip.

Saved Money Using The Gift Card

We Saved $5.00 today while shopping before we even walked in the front door of the grocery store. Today was a no coupon shopping day. We needed to get meat and produce. Obviously we watched our spending and the price per Oz or the price per pound and saved. We prchased over 8lbs. of ground meat, 6lbs. of country pork ribs and saved $.30 per pound on both. Both great saving for something we needed at the grocery store. $4.20 savings on the meat purchases and the gift card from HP brings us for a total today of $9.20.
There is a little more to the story in saving five bucks though. A few months ago we needed to buy HP printer ink and low and behold the clerk gave us a $5 loaded Wal-Mart gift card courtesy of HP. She didn’t have to but it’s nice to know there are some honest people still in this world willing to inform you of some special offers even while checking out.  Let’s face it, she didn’t have to be nice and we all know that service clerks aren’t paid all that well.

Second Day of Coupon Shopping

Cold air on my face with a slight breezy morning I was excited to get my day started. I took a quick trip to the local convenience store to retrieve the local Sunday newspaper to look for new coupons and deals. My wife waited at home with anticipation of her Sunday news paper. It has been about a week since are last shopping trip to our local grocery stores. Coffee hot and waiting for me I rushed home to start our coupon shopping adventure.
We spent about thirty minutes or so looking through all the ads and clipping the ones we would use today and coupons we might use in the future. Last week we saved $10.80 so we have already recuperated are $10.00 we use monthly on the newspapers.
Shopping went well today. We saved $11.20 in manufacturer coupons. Then I noticed a great deal on chicken with a $.81 per pound savings so we stocked up on white meat and bought a little over 20lbs. of chicken breast. This gave an additional saving of about $16.20 from are local grocery store and there grabber add to get you through their front door to grocery shop. Total savings today was $27.40 in the green.
Are coupon supply is growing after one full week of collecting are Sunday newspapers and printable coupons from the internet. Now we try to get good deals if it something we would use in the near future like today’s deal on the chicken. How could anyone pass on that local grocery deal from $1.78 a lb. to $.97 a lb?

Coupon Initial Research

1st – Make a phone call to your local grocery stores to find out what their policies are on coupon redemption. A few grocery stores might double or even triple the coupon amounts. I recently called my local grocery store and found out that they will only double coupons up to a value of $.50. This makes a $.50 coupon total one dollar in savings.
2nd – Grab your local Sunday news paper to claim your manufacture coupons to use while shopping and local grocery store sale savings. Manufacture coupons will always save you money while shopping. Grabber sales are always in the local grocery sales adds page that get you to shop at a certain store over a different store. These grabber sales pitches are sometimes better than using your coupon on that current shopping trip.
3rd – If you have access to the internet, check on the latest printable internet coupons from manufactures.  Claim your additional coupons that weren’t in the local Sunday newspaper. Most printable internet coupons require you to download a quick program that allows you to print coupons from manufactures.  Most printable internet coupons are good for one month. Receive additional coupon savings from your printable coupons.
Most important- Plan your shopping trip each time before you head out the front door to shop. Educate yourself on prices of your local grocers.

First Day Of Coupon Shopping

Today was the very first day we tried coupon shopping. The result for today’s shopping efforts before coupons subtotal was $134.43. After using our small stack of coupons the subtotal was $123.63. Total coupon savings of $10.80. Not bad for a couple of amateur coupon shoppers that started coupon clipping a couple hours earlier from printed internet coupons.
After unloading the groceries my wife browsed a few other coupon websites to download and print are next batch of coupons for shopping. This adventure has already become addictive in a short time frame.
We stayed true to what we would normally buy at the grocery store and still saved money with are coupons. We are trying to make subtle changes in shopping with are coupons to really see how much we were spending and saving in these hard economic times.
With just a few coupons and a weekly trip to the grocery store $10.80 a week will be an easy $40.00 to $50.00 a month saved while shopping with coupons. When you have four kids in the house you can’t ignore the easy ways to save money. Let’s face it six people in one home is a large family by today’s standards.
All in all this new sport of coupon shopping is fun and exciting. I even actually enjoyed shopping with my wife. It was like what’s next or where is the next deal at honey. Heck we might even get to retire some day!!!
